Course summary
Studying History with us offers you the chance to learn about an impressive sweep of time and place, including ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, the medieval world, the Tudors, the Americas, China and India, global conflict and revolution in the modern era. You’ll be taught by historians who have a wealth of expertise, with leading researchers working across diverse approaches to the past, focussing on social, cultural, political and military topics and contemporary heritage practice. Along with developing your academic skills, we encourage students to work with both their tutors and the wider community in producing original research projects with 'real world' impact. With this wealth of expertise behind us, we can ensure your learning is not only relevant, but cutting edge. Our programme is flexible and allows you to develop your own specialisms as a historian. You will have the chance to study modules covering a variety of different periods, spanning the ancient to the modern world, and a wide geographical range, including Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. You’ll be introduced to a variety of approaches to studying History, learning not just about famous historical events, but how to research the lives of ordinary people and those who were marginalised in the past. This course has a foundation year available. Features and Benefits
