About this course This distinct MSc programme provides an i**nnovative and flexible approach allowing you to upskill or specialise in your career. The addition of risk management to this programme makes this a unique degree which will prepare you for a number of roles in business and finance, including risk officer. You can choose to complete the full masters programme, or a shorter PGCert or PGDip. The programme consists of the following pathways: • PG Certificate Banking & Finance • PG Certificate Risk Management • PG Diploma Banking, Finance & Risk Management • MSc in Banking, Finance & Risk Management Skills You will gain an in-depth knowledge of finance and banking, as well as risk management, elevating your skills in-line with increased workplace demand. Career opportunities The Banking and Finance pathways will prepare you to work in either corporate finance or in the financial services industry. Whereas the Risk Management pathways will help you secure work in business risk management, project management or hybrid roles. These pathways combined will allow you to take on general management, hybrid or consultancy roles in a wide range of sectors. On the MSc, the consultancy project will help prepare you for a career as a consultant, whilst the dissertation option allows you to explore a relevant topic of your choice in-depth and may lead to further research/study (i.e. a doctorate programme). Entry requirements

You should usually hold a second-class honours degree (certain programmes may require a 2:1) from a recognised British or overseas university. Advice on recognition can be obtained from the Admissions Office. Non-graduates with appropriate professional qualifications will be considered on an individual basis by Programme Conveners; contact details can be found on the individual programme page. Applicants will be expected to apply and register for the full master's award. Those with a third-class honours degree are encouraged to complete an application as we will consider an applicant's wider circumstances in making a decision on an application.
