This is the foundation pathway for our BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology course, however the course content covers aspects of criminology, law and policing meaning you’ll be able to progress onto any of the following courses:

- This course is an ideal pathway if you’re looking to progress on to our BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology programme.
- You’ll be taught by leading academics and staff who with real world experience working in the criminal justice sector who are involved in ground-breaking research.
- You’ll learn about the criminal justice system, how crime is represented in the media and look at sociological theories.
- Be introduced to contemporary thinking about criminology and sociology with influences from psychology, politics, law and economics.
- Receive individual and tailored support so you can maximise your potential.
- Have the opportunity to work with prisons in the North West, join the Missing Persons Unit, and study abroad.
