Have you ever wanted to create a fire-breathing dragon from your favourite video game? Or those cool-looking weapons from many of todays VR simulations? Combine your artistic talents with your love for video games and animation, and turn that creative combination into your dream career. Traditional skills, such as sketching and life drawing, inform character design work in 3D, allowing you to develop your craft using industry-standard technology and production methods. You will create 3D art for games played across multiple platforms and you'll build worlds that players want to lose themselves in. Our hands-on approach will see you experimenting with different design concepts to find your own personal flair. At the same time, you'll learn how to interpret creative briefs and discover how to successfully bring games to market. Closely supervised by our team of dedicated professionals, you will hone your skills and produce your own showreel to ensure that you are job-ready on graduation.
Our fast-track degree means you can graduate and be earning and doing what you love in just two years. Year 1: Trimester 1- 2D Fundamentals; Information, Communication and Professional Media Practice. Trimester 2 - 3D Fundamentals; Rendering and Animation Fundamentals.
