Modules

Year 1 You will develop the creative and technical skills needed to produce engaging digital content. You’ll also learn how to understand audiences and explore how culture and technology shape how content is created and shared. Alongside practical projects, you’ll gain research, presentation and professional skills to prepare you for a career in the creative industries. Core modules Introduction to Content Creation Study Skills in the Creative Industries Digital and Web Media Design Content Creation for Social Media Introduction to Visual Promotion Understanding Audiences: Theory and Context Year 2 You’ll apply your creative and technical skills to real-world projects, working with clients and organisations on live briefs as well as developing a professional portfolio. You’ll continue to build experience in producing different types of content while exploring how creativity can drive social change and sustainability. Core modules Making; Society, Economy and Environment (SEE) Content Creation – Live Project Podcasting Developing a Content Creation Portfolio Promotional Video Production Social Media for Activist and Community Groups Optional placement year An optional placement year gives you the chance to apply your skills in a professional setting, gain industry experience and build valuable contacts before returning for your final year. Final year You’ll refine your individual creative voice and prepare for your career in content creation through a major self-directed project and a professional portfolio. You’ll also gain real-world experience through a 10-week live project with an external organisation, putting your skills into practice and building valuable industry connections. The fees listed in the table above are for full-time UK undergraduate students in academic year 2025-26. You will pay further fees in each year of your course. Fees may increase each year. UK undergraduate and certain postgraduate fees are regulated by the UK government. The annual fee increase will not exceed the UK government's maximum regulated tuition fee limit set for the relevant academic year. Many of our courses include the option of a salaried placement year. Tuition fees for a placement year are charged at a lower rate of £1850. The international tuition fees listed above are for full-time courses during the academic year 2025-26. Further tuition fees are payable in each year of study.
