Course summary

Develop the skills and abilities to succeed in business and management, and explore wider social, political, and ethical issues, with our brand-new degree course in Peterborough. Business and management is an incredibly broad and varied field. By studying at ARU Peterborough, you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to analyse and solve problems – and forge ahead in your career. We’ll cover important aspects of business and management, including organisational structures objectives, and performance to enable you to add value quickly in a variety of business and managerial roles. The course will enable you to apply a commercial mind-set to sustainable business practice. You’ll explore the strategic importance of human resource and people management, as well as contemporary issues such as globalisation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation, social responsibility, diversity, ethics, and risk management. As well as looking at how businesses operate, our BSc (Hons) Business and Management degree has a strong focus on learning and development. You’ll acquire a comprehensive understanding of the way individuals – as well as organisations – learn, develop, and grow. As part of this we’ll discuss human resource development and performance improvement. While studying with us, you’ll become adept at using communication and information technology effectively for business.
