Course summary

This course will provide you with an opportunity to analyse the complex factors that contribute to and shape international cyber conflict. You'll learn to demonstrate an understanding of confidence-building measures as well as the socio-political complexities and legal challenges stemming from issues of attribution, accountability, and sovereignty, as well as meet current global cyber diplomacy priorities and capacity building.

Modules

Year 1: Security Management (30 credits) International Cyber-Conflict (30 credits) IT & Internet Law (30 credits) Cyber Defence Diplomacy (30 credits) Mental Wealth; Professional Life (Dissertation) This MSc blends cybersecurity technical skills with legal and diplomatic insights, preparing you for roles at the intersection of tech and international relations.

Assessment method

Coursework will include presentations, essays, project work, practical reports, and portfolio completion. The approximate percentages for this course are: Year 1: 100% coursework, (50% case studies and 50% Writing Reporting) You'll always receive detailed feedback outlining your strengths and how you can improve. We aim to provide feedback on assessments within 10 working days.


Entry requirements

Accepted Qualifications Min 2:2 honours degree in Computer Science, Businesses, Politics or Economics from a recognised UK HE institution.
