Course summary
Students on this course focus on knowledge and skills that can be applied within organisations rather than on how financial markets behave. This course is designed to develop existing knowledge and understanding of financial management and build on current research and analytical skills. It is an ideal course for those who have recently completed a 1st degree in accounting, or business administration, or those who have a related degree and substantial business experience.
Modules
Core modules: fundamentals of financial management ; financial context and contemporary issues ; corporate strategy ; corporate financial strategy ; performance measurement and management ; corporate financial reporting ; research methods ; masters dissertation.
Assessment method
Assessments will be a mix of written assignments, supervised mini-projects, role playing, presentations and examinations.

Entry requirements
You will need: an honours degree of 2:2 or above in Accounting and Finance; or an honours degree of 2:1 or above in Economics, Mathematics or a Business related subject. If you do not meet the above grade requirements but have at least 12 months relevant professional experience and/ or equivalent qualifications, we will consider you on an individual basis.
English language requirements
International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*). *The University accepts a large number of UK and international qualifications in place of IELTS.
