The motion graphics course at Ravensbourne University London combines digital technology with animation and design principles to equip you with the full range of practical and theoretical skills required to build a successful career within this in-demand discipline. The four-year undergraduate course encompasses key skills including animation, storytelling, graphic design, 2D and 3D software, video production and experiential design, as well as exploring the history, context and future potential of motion graphics and motion design. Combining these skills with industry-standard software including After Effects and Cinema 4D, you’ll create motion graphics for film, television, online, mobile, music and live events. Through the course’s well-established industry connections, you’ll be introduced to a wide range of guest speakers and visit design studios, post production houses and major broadcasters. In your final year you will be given individual advice by industry experts on how to develop your portfolio and prepare for the job market. You will graduate agile and industry ready – as proven by our excellent employment record. Career pathway Students will graduate with strong concept skills and technical expertise and be ready for a broad range of careers in the creative industry. Students are often employed directly in motion graphics studios, but also work in advertising, branding, broadcast, film, title design, experiential design, exhibitions and events.
