Course summary

Analyse contemporary issues of war, conflict and security in the context of politics within and between societies. You’ll gain a grounding in the study of organised violence and an appreciation of the challenges faced by politicians and military personnel. Learn to think critically about a wide range of political ideas, institutions and events and how they relate to issues of security and conflict. You can also choose to apply your academic knowledge in a practical way with a work placement project. Entry requirements

IELTS: 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5 (or equivalent) Entry requirements: Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (2.2 level or above), or equivalent from a university outside the UK. All of our programmes are appropriate for students from any discipline, although a social science, arts, business or humanities background would be of value. Relevant work experience may also be taken into account.
