Course summary
This is an opportunity to complete an online full time (1 year) or part time (2 years) MSc in Health Professions Education commencing in September. The programme provides current evidence based theoretical knowledge and practical skills aimed at those wishing to develop their educational expertise within their health profession context. The programme prides itself on the range of health professions who attend and achieve their qualifications. The multi-professional learning environment of HPE offers you great insight and knowledge of teaching and learning in different healthcare contexts. Our academic staff have a wide range of qualifications and expertise within education and teaching in further and higher education. This includes lecturers with clinical, social sciences and business backgrounds. This is an online programme. You will benefit from access to modular topic-based asynchronous online materials supported by synchronous online small group tutorials with dedicated lecturers.

Entry requirements
An upper second-class honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant degree including (but not limited to) medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, pharmacy, biological sciences, psychology and social sciences, or a relevant professional qualification with at least two years' full-time (or equivalent part-time) professional experience. Applicants should demonstrate interest in clinical teaching through work experience, volunteering or research. Applicants must be able to access teaching opportunities within their current role. For entry to the Postgraduate Diploma award, applicants must have successfully completed the Health Professionals Education (or TLHP) Postgraduate Certificate, or an equivalent qualification from another institution. For entry to the MSc Modular award, applicants must have successfully completed both the Health Professionals Education (or TLHP) Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate, or equivalent qualifications from another institution. We will consider applicants whose grades are slightly lower than the programme's entry requirements, if they have at least one of the following: - evidence of significant, relevant work experience; - a relevant postgraduate qualification. If this is the case, applicants should include their CV (curriculum vitae / résumé) when they apply, showing details of their relevant work experience and/or qualifications.
