Course summary

Our MSc Sport Analytics and Technologies programme is designed for individuals who wish to develop a critical understanding of how technology is impacting on sport, in particular the growing sport digital and media sectors. Sport is embracing digital technologies to improve performance and shake-up tired and redundant business practices, which is why it is a great time to study a sport analytics degree. On our sport analytics degree, you will investigate cases of data driven decision-making and strategy formulation to outline how statistical analysis and data visualisation is informing sport business trends and solutions. You will examine how the sport industry is actively embracing digital technologies to improve performance and shake-up tired and redundant business practices, gaining a critical understanding of mobile internet and the latest cloud technologies, with a special emphasis on media cloud applications shifting to mobile Internet platforms. Together the faculty will introduce you to the latest research and devices driving the sport digital and media environment, and other related areas. Assessment method

You can expect to complete essays and reports of varying lengths, as well as presentations, proposals and case studies in some cases.


Entry requirements

A 2:1 honours degree (with a minimum of 60% in final year), or equivalent international qualification, in wide range of disciplines.


English language requirements

English Language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest (Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) or equivalent.
