Course summary

About the course Learn how to design, evaluate and apply information technology systems in a business setting. You’ll take account of human, organisational and strategic factors. You’ll develop your skills in:

  • exploring theories relating to IT management as an innovative resource
  • researching current practice
  • analysing IT system trends, methodologies and interfaces
  • communicating concepts, designs and evaluation within a technical environment.
We offer two pathways through this MSc:
  • Pathway A is for you if your background is in management or information systems
  • Pathway B is for you if your background is in computer science, programming or software engineering.
You’ll be taught by the Department of Informatics and the Department of Management at the University of Sussex Business School. Entry requirements

You should normally have a lower second-class (2.2) undergraduate honours degree or above. Your qualification should be in a field that has substantial computing, information technology, science, technology or business-related content. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
