Course summary
Learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Work with designers and manufacturers to develop new products and road-test your prototypes in our supportive, hands-on business environment. You’re resilient and not afraid to make mistakes. You also know that as an entrepreneur, it’s important to experiment, accept failure and learn to try again. Our BSc (Hons) Business with Entrepreneurship degree will equip you with tools that can help you develop, test and realise your ideas. You’ll also learn about applying for grants and reflect on what it really means to be an entrepreneur. While studying at ARU, you’ll make strong professional connections, build a portfolio and – with regular teamwork and pitching – hone your entrepreneurial thinking and grow in confidence. At ARU, we understand it’s important to learn and develop your skills in a practical environment and enhance your employability. That’s why we host regular visits from local employers and professionals, allowing you the chance to build a network and make connections which can come in handy after you graduate. Throughout your Business with Entrepreneurship degree you’ll gain an insight on what it’s like to be an entrepreneur, as you’ll be exposed to creative processes and explore your own ideas and work with other professionals through the ideation process, while reflecting on your experience and work. We know that your future career is important, and you want to build your CV. So we’ll encourage you to grab every opportunity for real-world experience – this could mean a placement year in the industry as part of your course.
