Course summary

Course overview Ready to qualify as a solicitor and stand out in today’s legal world? This integrated course equips you to pass the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and thrive in modern legal practice. Through two focused modules, Foundations and Applications of Legal Knowledge (SQE1) and Legal Skills and Legal Practice (SQE2), you’ll receive hands-on preparation, including access to an interactive online platform packed with resources, sample questions and skills-based exercises. On the Professionals in Practice module, you’ll tackle real-world challenges, sharpen key skills like commercial awareness, and explore legal technology and innovation. You’ll also connect with practising solicitors and industry experts through guest speaker sessions and networking events. These events will help build your confidence and gather professional insight as you take your next step toward becoming a solicitor. Features and benefits

  • SQE preparation - The SQE is difficult to pass without support and lots of practice. We make sure you have access to not only the information you need, but the opportunity to complete practice questions and develop the skills you need for your practical assessments.
  • Flexibility - We offer this course in full-time and part-time modes. This flexible approach enables you to both work and manage your personal commitments while studying.
  • Optionality - You can choose optional modules based on topics that are not assessed during the SQE. This gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge in areas of law you may wish to pursue once you qualify as a solicitor, such as family law or employment law.
  • Varied assessments - This course has no formal examinations, sitting the SQE is done separately to the course. You’ll be assessed in a variety of different ways such as creating reflective portfolios, recorded submissions, essays and timed online assessments.
  • Professional facilities - You’ll have access to professional facilities such as our state-of-the-art moot courtroom and client interviewing rooms to help you develop your practical skills for your SQE assessments.
  • Funding opportunity - As this course is a full masters degree you may be eligible for the Postgraduate Loan Scheme if you are a UK resident.

Entry requirements

You’ll need an LLB (Hons) degree from the UK or Republic of Ireland, minimum 2:2, or the international equivalent. We’ll also accept a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, such as the Graduate Diploma in Law or CILEX.
