Course summary
This programme includes a range of science and practical modules to help develop the skills needed for careers in Ecological Consultancy and Wildlife Conservation. Students will develop an understanding of both native and global animal and plant species, whilst also being able to develop their individual interests further through project-based research. This course will also provide a good knowledge base for students to continue into further study at master’s level. Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - 80 points
Access to HE Diploma - P: 45 credits
Students are required to have GCSE Maths, English and Science (preferred) grade 9-4 / A*-C. A minimum of GCSE Maths, English and Science (preferred) grade 4/C or above. UCAS points from Scottish Highers or Advanced levels are accepted. UCAS tariff points from BTEC or City and Guilds diplomas are accepted, Open University credits in lieu of A levels, Access to HE Diplomas, and T Levels are accepted. Subjects with a scientific element are desirable. We will also accept applications from students who have passed, or are predicted to gain a pass grade in the following specific course programmes:- T Level: Animal Management and Behaviour L3 T Level: Animal Management and Science L3 T-Level Tree and Woodland Management and Maintenance L3 BTEC L3 Diploma - Environmental Conservation and Countryside Management Access to Higher Education: Land-based Studies (Animal and Countryside Management) Applicants over 21 years of age, who do not have relevant UCAS points, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis but should demonstrate evidence of an appropriate qualification, experience in the field or a strong interest
