This course is accredited by the University of Warwick OVERVIEW Want to create events with the ‘wow’ factor? Managing events is an exciting sector offering considerable potential for those with the right blend of communication, leadership and managerial abilities. Building on these skills, our Events Management top-up degree course will help you launch a career working in everything from meetings and exhibitions to sporting events, festivals and wedding planning. This events management course is designed for anyone who has previously studied a relevant subject (up to Level 5), enhancing your understanding of the sector with detailed examination of events systems, project management and how to oversee a live event. You will also have the chance to go on an overseas residential visit and conduct an international research project. Our events top-up degree is dual accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), a recognised professional management body. This means when you complete the top-up course, you will also be eligible for an industry-recognised Award in Leadership and Management from the CMI (subject to payment of an additional fee), boosting your attractiveness to prospective employers. International applicants

Applicants who apply to transfer to University College Birmingham on to a second year or final year of a course will have their previous course matched for entry. Additional fee information
UK:
If you are a UK student enrolling on a Foundation Degree or a BA/BSc at University College Birmingham in 2021/22, your fee for this academic year will be £9,250. A half year tuition fee is £4625.
This is a yearly fee, and will increase with inflation in subsequent years (in line with the government’s permitted rise).
If you are an English student studying your first higher education qualification, you can apply for a tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company. You will not start repaying this loan until you leave the course and are earning over £25,000 a year.
If you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you should apply to Student Finance Wales, Student Finance Northern Ireland, or SAAS. The loans and grants available to you will differ from those available from Student Finance England.
