Gain a fundamental understanding of today’s business world and the leadership skills you need for a successful career in business and management on this degree. Situated in the heart of the Greenwich Maritime Campus, this programme puts you on the right path to a wide range of careers across different sectors, from start-up enterprises to multinational organisations. Study with us and you’ll develop knowledge of key business functions, such as accounting & finance, marketing, and innovation management. You’ll also gain knowledge of the wider environment in which businesses operate, including economics, ethics, and business law. You will develop skills for leading and managing contemporary organisations through modules in leadership, professional communication, and negotiation. The programme allows you to tailor your degree to fit your interests and career aspirations through specialist module options. These options provide an opportunity to explore specific areas of business and management in greater depth. If you want extra real-world experience, there are opportunities to take a placement year where you can apply what you’ve learned to a business setting with a placement in industry. Our campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, and we are particularly proud of our Bloomberg Training Floor. This simulation of a City bank trading experience provides an exciting way to build your trading and marketing analysis skills. We provide you with training and access to industry-standard software, ensuring you’re proficient with the tools used in contemporary business and industry. This programme is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). On successful completion of the 4 full-time years of this degree, eligible* students will automatically be awarded a CMI Diploma in Management & Leadership, and gain Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) status. (*Please note that terms and conditions apply and certain students - because of their study choices or entry point - may NOT be eligible for CMI accreditation and/or the CMI Diploma. We make Contextual offers to this programme. Applicants that meet specific eligibility criteria will be made a contextual offer with a reduced tariff of up to 16 UCAS Tariff points. For further information, please see our Contextual Admissions policy. We also accept applications if you wish to transfer from another institution, and have already studied 1 or 2 years of a relevant course at level 4 or 5 and wish to continue your education at the University of Greenwich.

Additional fee information

The Department for Education has indicated that it intends to raise the Home tuition fee limit from £9,250 to £9,535 for 2025/26. Please note: The full-time home tuition fee for the first year of this course (foundation year) is £5,760.
