Overview You're a passionate and qualified Human Resource (HR) practitioner looking to progress your career. You've already successfully achieved the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Advanced Level 7 qualification and you're looking to progress your HR training to Master's level. This MSc Human Resource Management Top-up will help take you there, boosting your skills and employability. Human Resource Management explores people-orientated organisational activities. These activities include staffing, performance, change-management, inclusive workplace practices, equality, well-being and many more. Enhance your HR knowledge and skills with a 3-day intensive research methods workshop at the start of the course before you complete a dissertation proposal and dissertation on a related subject of your choosing. As you progress through your studies, you'll get support from your dissertation supervisor through online tutorials. You'll graduate as a highly competent HR practitioner, with the specialist skills you need to achieve success in your chosen career path. Depending on your choice of dissertation, you'll be awarded with either an MSc Human Resource Management, or an MSc Human Resource Development qualification. Modules
You'll study a dissertation where you'll undertake an ordered and critical investigation of a strategic Human Resource Management or Development issue. This will will demonstrate your ability to work independently at master's level, in both preparing and presenting your dissertation, and therefore be indicative of your potential. This will demonstrate your ability to extend your existing body of HRM or HRD knowledge.
Assessment method
You will be allocated a supervisor who will help you plan and research your dissertation. Your dissertation subject choice will determine whether the final award is MSc Human Resource Development or MSc Human Resource Management. You will be supported by your supervisor through email, Skype, telephone conversations and where possible, face-to-face meetings. Assessment differs from unit to unit, but all consist of varying forms of coursework alongside a time-constrained assessment.

Entry requirements
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Advanced Level 7 Qualification either through the completion of a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or Personnel Management or the level 7 qualification at a CIPD accredited centre. If a PG Diploma was gained more than 5 years previously, Chartered Fellows and Chartered Members of the CIPD may be eligible to apply through a specific RPL route.
