Sustainable Management at Loughborough University - UCAS

Course summary

Sustainability is now front and centre for many organisations. Join us to develop the tools to innovate as a sustainability change-maker, and help businesses be part of designing a more sustainable future. The vast majority of companies now recognise the urgency to cut emissions and become more sustainable. But they need people who can steer them towards a more sustainable future, while still remaining profitable. Join us to explore the huge potential of sustainability and learn to help organisations transform ‘being more sustainable’ into a business opportunity. Going much further than just thinking about how to heat a building, or the best ways to travel to work, we’ll explore how businesses need to re-design themselves for the future and how they could even help design the future itself. Different way of teaching Go to a traditional business school to study this topic, and there’ll be a big focus on strategy. At Loughborough London we cover all that, but bring lots of other relevant disciplines in, too. You’ll be taught by designers, by entrepreneurship scholars, and by people who are developing new ideas in everything from communication for sustainable development and alternative economy organisations, to new democratic practices designed to support ecological and social change. Taking this broader approach will give you a more rounded set of skills that will make you a valuable addition to any business looking to change the way it works and become more sustainable. Study in one of the world’s leading hubs Based in the heart of the capital, this is an inspiring learning environment for anyone with a passion for global business. London is one of the world’s leading hubs for business and trade, and is the ideal location for expanding your knowledge, expertise and networks. With sustainability now high on the agenda for many organisations, the skills you develop on this course are likely to open lots of interesting doors.
