Course summary

Our four-year Theoretical Physics MPhys Honours degree includes an integrated year of Master's-level study. You will learn about the advanced mathematics that underpin our understanding of the natural universe and physical processes. In your final (fourth) year, you gain a deeper understanding of physics, through advanced research-driven modules. This prepares you for a career in physical science or research, including study for higher degrees. You study theoretical and computational physics and work with academics to plan and deliver an extended research project in an area of mutual interest. You may choose to complete a work placement as part of your project, helping you enhance your CV and develop contacts in the workplace.
