Our Economics BSc curriculum is designed to prepare you for a dynamic and varied career where you will put in to practice the theory and skills you’ve learnt throughout your studies. We aim for you to graduate with a portfolio of desirable transferable skills and the key economic knowledge employers are looking for. You will study economics in depth to improve your understanding of the different economic decisions families, companies and governments make, and examine how economic markets function and the impact of fiscal and monetary policies. During your first year you will build essential quantitative techniques for developing models and presenting data. You’ll look at developments in the global economy from a historical perspective and start to align your degree with your interests and ambitions by choosing from optional modules which currently include topics such as accounting, management and business law, and business strategy where you will have the opportunity to work on a solution to business problem set by a multinational corporation.
