Course summary

The BA (Hons) History and Theology is led by HTC and the university's Centre for History, both of which possess recognised expertise in their respective fields. This joint degree provides a distinctive study opportunity combining two different but complementary subjects The history element provides a thorough examination of medieval, early modern and modern Britain, Europe and the wider world. The theology element, while also engaging with other Christian traditions, focuses on theology, primarily from an evangelical and Reformed perspective. Each year, you will build on your analytical and research abilities through a series of skills modules. You can also choose to specialise in Scottish History at the upper levels and graduate with a BA (Hons) Scottish History and Theology degree. Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)

HNC Social Science (12 SQA credits) with 3 additional SQA credits at level 7, which is equivalent to 120 degree credit points, and at least grade C in the Graded Unit will be considered for direct entry to year two

International applicants

This course is not currently available for Student Route visa sponsorship. International students (including EU/EEA and Swiss nationals without settled status in the UK) can study the course from their home country.
