University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)

All applicants to the undergraduate medicine course are required to take UCAT. This test must be taken in the year of application and alternative admissions tests are not accepted. For 2026 entry, the test will therefore be taken between July and September 2025. UCAT is a computer-based admissions test used by a consortium of UK and international universities to help select applications for the medical and dental degree programmes. We strongly recommend you prepare for the test. There are many materials to help you on the UCAT website. The result from the first attempt only will be accepted and must be taken in the year of application.
