Course Overview Take a step towards becoming a highly skilled, multi-competent Police Constable. This Professional Policing Foundation Entry Degree leads on to a full BSc (Hons) programme. Why study with us

What you'll do
  • Prepare for a physically and intellectually demanding occupation, requiring high-levels of emotional intelligence, strong behavioural interpretation skills.
  • You’ll develop your ability to analyse and resolve rapidly evolving events, which is vital for a modern Police Constable (PC).
  • The final year provides the opportunity to carry out a research-based study as well as study optional specialist areas of policing.
Future Careers Professional Policing Practice leads to the option to apply for a career in the police, or associated investigative professions. Many of our policing graduates have joined local forces, or work for the British Transport Police. Some also work within insurance or banking, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, HM Prison Service or carry out fraud investigation within the Department of Social Security and UK Border Agency.
