Course summary

Our accredited MSc focuses on the specialist project management skills needed to gain an in-depth understanding of the specific issues and complexities that are part of managing construction projects. You’ll develop the skills needed to find solutions while also meeting the clients’ requirements in the most efficient way. Exploring the unique needs and characteristics of all stages of the project’s life-cycle, you’ll learn to balance efficiency on time, cost and performance and constructability, as well as the environmental impact. You’ll examine construction methodologies and procedures and gain an understanding of procurement systems, client organisations and stakeholder management in the development and decision-making processes. Project management is all about team work. You'll work in a team to produce a complex project proposal based on a real-world scenario. This allows you to apply the skills and knowledge that you’ve gained to coordinate a multidisciplinary team of professionals to successfully deliver a construction project. This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Chartered Association of Building Engineerings (CABE), and by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Entry requirements
