Our LLB Law with History degree gives you the opportunity to explore two fascinating and interconnecting disciplines You’ll graduate with a degree which not only meets the academic requirements for qualification as a barrister (Bar Standards Board compliant), but also provides essential knowledge for aspiring solicitors. There are opportunities to choose vocational subjects tested in the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations (SQE) providing you with a gateway to professional training to become a solicitor. At Bangor University, we bring the study of law to life. You can participate in mock trials, internal moots and the University hosts an annual careers fair. History modules enables you to gain a greater insight into historical periods ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary Britain and Europe. You can discover more about the periods in history which interest you, while gaining a comprehensive legal education. Studying Law and History simultaneously not only helps you to better understand modern-day law, but also provides a broader education, which can expand your career options on graduation too. ‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
