Fundamentals of Genomics in Medicine: Explore the core principles of genomics and their applications in understanding human health and disease. | Introduction to Bioinformatics Tools and Programming Languages: Gain hands-on experience with bioinformatics software, algorithms, and programming techniques for genomic data analysis. | Advanced Genomics and Omics Techniques: Dive into cutting-edge multi-omics approaches, covering diverse biological data types to enhance integrative biomedical research.| Computational Biology and Health Genomics: Develop computational skills to analyse and interpret large-scale genomic datasets for clinical and research applications.| Individual Research Project: Engage in an 8-month independent research project, applying bioinformatics, computational biology, or genomic medicine techniques to tackle real-world scientific and healthcare challenges. This project will allow you to develop advanced research skills, work with cutting-edge datasets, and contribute meaningful insights to the field under expert supervision.

Assessment method

The programme will be assessed through a combination of project work, assignments and group work.


Entry requirements

Minimum 2.2 degree in a subject aligned to health, biosciences, mathematics/data sciences. If you have a science, data or medical background and wish to advance your career, or looking at a career change this might be the course for you. This programme is also an opportunity for intercalated medical students.
