Audition

You will be invited to attend an in-person interview. In advance of the interview, we ask that you record a 3-4 minute audition piece - smartphone recording will be sufficient. You are required to bring this recording with you to your interview. Choose a piece you are familiar with and is within your technical ability. We will then have a conversation about your choice of material and the instrumental/vocal techniques used in the performance.

Interview

Your interview process will include a simple music theory test for us to assess your current level (20 mins). Entry to BA degree level study assumes prior academic standard achievement at A-Level: however, mature students may not be formally qualified. Our interview process is designed to get an overall view of your skills. Weaknesses in one or two areas will not prevent you from being offered a place on the course.
