Course summary

Our Business Management and Accounting and Finance course is designed to meet the needs of an ever-changing business world. It will provide you with a broad based understanding of business, while teaching you the importance of accounting and finance functions within an organisation. You will develop your analytical skills and ability to communicate ideas and financial information. By studying the role of accounting information and practices in corporate scandals that occur through time and continue to challenge modern society, you will develop core disciplines that are valued highly by employers. All students will take part in a business simulation task, imitating the experience of running a business with a group of fellow students. This degree also gives you accreditation towards accounting examinations from professional bodies ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW. During your second year you have a variety of unique opportunities to get involved in such as studying abroad, enterprise project, internship or simply continue with your studies. The course can be studied over three years full-time or four years with a placement. Today’s businesses are more competitive than ever and are constantly looking for new ideas to keep them ahead of their rivals. Our Business Management Joint Honours degrees are perfect to hone your business skills and having the flexibility to specialise in areas of interest. Our BA (Hons) Business Management Joint Honours courses have Dual Award status with the Chartered Management Institute.
