Course summary
Are you looking for a dynamic and challenging course that will give you a head start in the fashion industry? On the fashion buying and brand management course you'll learn to forecast fashion trends, interpret consumer behaviour, appreciate the importance of sustainability and build an understanding of the current global fashion market. Utilising cutting-edge technology and the latest industry thinking, you will graduate with everything you need to build, manage and grow a fashion business. Our graduates have previously gone on to secure positions with top brands including Net a Porter, Pangaia, Burberry, Rapha, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and ASOS, and many have even launched their own successful businesses. With a focus on practical skills development and real-world industry experience, you'll be ready to hit the ground running from day one. What sets us apart is our emphasis on environmental, ethical, and social responsibilities. Each project is crafted with sustainability in mind, and you'll graduate with a robust understanding of the systems and processes required to build, manage, market, and grow a fashion or lifestyle business in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Using industry standard technology such as Adobe Suite, CLO3D, SketchUp and online fashion resources, you will develop the expertise needed to plan and visualise a range, promote a brand, generate a professional report, pitch ideas and ultimately understand the business of fashion. But it's not just about technical skills - we also prioritize innovation, business acumen, and transferable life skills. Over three years, you'll explore a diverse range of subjects, from target audience behaviour and data analysis to trend prediction, range planning, product development, and circularity. Our modules are designed to give you the confidence to put theory into practice through individual and group projects, and you'll collaborate with other courses to simulate a real-life workplace. Learning is driven by practical workshops, live industry briefs, behind-the-scenes visits to manufacturers, trade shows, and retailers, and self-initiated research. You'll have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and test your learning in real-world settings, and a diverse range of guest speakers will feed into your Final Major Project. Perhaps you've always had an ambition of releasing your own clothing range. With the help of our experienced industry tutors, this three-year degree in the cultural capital of London will give you the tools to turn your passions into a successful career or entrepreneurial venture in the fashion buying and brand management arena.
