Course summary

This programme is designed to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing global market. It is aimed at graduates and engineering professionals wishing to develop advanced practical and computational skills in engineering science, design and technology. This MSc will broaden and deepen your mechanical engineering knowledge, introducing you to new applications and practices, enabling you to develop the technical and transferable skills highly sought after by industry and academic research. During the summer, you may be given the exciting opportunity of a micro-placement project. These placements are arranged in collaboration with our existing industrial partners and alumni contacts and aim to provide you with hands-on practical experience, working on appealing projects relevant to your MSc.

Assessment method

You will be assessed through a combination of coursework and written exams.


Entry requirements

A 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in a relevant science, technology, engineering or maths discipline. Applicants with qualifications slightly below this level, alternative qualifications and/or professional experience will also be considered.
