The BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching and Physical Education course aims to: Engage students critically with specialised theories and knowledge, promoting a multidisciplinary understanding of the subject area. Equip future physical educators and coaches with outstanding professional and practical skills, with a focus on critical reflection and evidence-based practice. Compulsory costs
Students require a Solent sports kit. This is provided for free for students in their first year of study.
Any additional kit would need to be bought by the individual. As a package, this will cost approximately £135.
Students are required to undertake DBS criminal records checks as part of their enrolment. The cost of this is covered by the University.
Year two
L2 Certificate in Coaching Multi-skills Development in Sport: approx £100.
Optional costs
Students may have the chance to undertake optional Active IQ qualifications alongside their studies. Prices vary but are between £100 and £300.
