Designed for those who are interested in the strategic and managerial side of cyber security, you will develop a deep understanding of the core aspects of cyber security in our current, rapidly-evolving, technological landscape. You will gain essential knowledge of how cyber security is implemented, managed, and governed by organisations and build your professional skills. Upon completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and the skills to take your career to a senior level and maximise your future earnings. Our Master’s in Cyber Security Management has a practical approach, focusing on how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world industry situations. You will develop your strategic thinking, how to manage resources, implement solutions, and effectively communicate these to senior decision-makers to support the strategic growth of a business and safe-guard it from a cyber attack. We are focused on your future employability, and you will learn key cyber security strategies and concepts alongside the professional skills required to become a strong and effective manager in a data-rich environment. This course is accredited by The Chartered Management Institute so upon successful completion of the course, you will have the option to apply for a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership as well as your degree. Your learning experience is important to us, and this course is taught by experienced business professionals in workshop-style classes to ensure you can benefit from greater interaction with your lecturer. MSc Cyber Security Management with Professional Practice* This course is offered as a 2-year full-time business master’s programme. Sharing the first year of study with the 1-year MSc Cyber Security Management course, the 2-year programme benefits from a second year of Professional Practice that is specifically aimed at fostering the employment opportunities of students. Offering greater flexibility than a traditional Placement Year, our Professional Practice Year allows you to decide how to put your skills into practice. Choose between an academic dissertation, business plan, business or consultancy project, or a paid placement in the industry, depending on the option that is best suited to your future career path. This course is currently available at our Birmingham, London Moorgate and Manchester campuses, as well as online.* *Please note that campus locations are subject to change and may vary by intake and start date. Assessment method

Assessments are designed to meet the programme and module learning outcomes both academically and professionally and are both formative and summative. The formative assessments include the preparation and feedback from seminars, workshops, tests and presentations. Summative assessments that contribute to the grade may include written assignment, group work/studies, project and possibly exams.

Entry requirements

2:2 or above from a UK Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification(s) English language requirements for applicants whose first language is not English - An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
