Course summary

This course will be delivered as an accelerated degree, meaning that you can complete your studies in only two years of training, rather than three. It is an exciting, challenging and intensive course with 33 hours contact time per week minimum, and thirty teaching weeks per year, delivered by some of the top professionals in the musical theatre industry. Throughout the course of your study with us, you will develop your skills in all the key disciplines required from modern musical theatre artists, including Singing, Acting and Dance. You will also be involved in projects to put your skills into the contexts you will find in the industry including: performing in a straight play, performing in a cabaret, taking part in a monologue slam night, acting for screen, writing and producing your own musical theatre production, taking part in full-scale musical production in a London theatre, and taking part in both our digital showcase and industry panel week. Associated Studios is based in London, Kensington W10, a stone’s throw from vibrant Notting Hill.We know London can be an expensive place to live and study, which is why Associated Studios has created a 2 year BA(Hons) degree course which allows you to train without compromise. Students wishing to study for a further 3rd year of training can apply to our 1-year MA Musical Theatre Performance course at the end of their BA. Associated Studios is a prestigious, boutique school, committed to taking on a small cohort, treating students as individuals and artists in a ‘family’ atmosphere. Every student receives personal attention and rigorous training. Acting classes include: Improvisation, Text classes working on monologues, scenes and whole plays, Technique classes, Voice classes, Scene Study, Audition Sight-reading and Actor’s movement. Singing and Music classes include: Vocal Technique, One-to-One Singing lessons, Repertoire classes, Acting Through Song classes, Audition technique classes, Performance confidence classes, Industry Audition classes, Mock Musical Theatre audition classes. Dance and Movement classes include: Dance Technique, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Mock Audition Routine with a West End Choreographer/ Dance Captain, Body Conditioning, Yoga, Pilates.
