The MEd Educational Studies is designed for education professionals seeking to enhance their existing knowledge and skills while advancing their academic, personal, and professional development towards leadership positions. Our programme emphasizes contemporary global developments and intercultural perspectives in education. Students are encouraged to reflect on their practice within international contexts, fostering a deeper understanding of global educational landscapes and their potential impact. Three fundamental principles form the foundation of our programme: Inclusion and Diversity Education, Innovation and Technology Policy and Social Justice These principles are woven throughout all modules, creating an innovative and inclusive approach that examines education through a holistic lens, reflecting society’s diverse and evolving needs. To support academic success, all students participate in integrated English for Academic Purposes activities throughout their studies, enhancing their scholarly and communication skills.
Entry requirements
To study a post graduate programme with UWS London, applicants are expected to hold at least an ordinary degree from a UK institution, or an equivalent qualification if the applicant has studied outside of the UK. Applications are also welcome from individuals who do not meet the academic requirements for each programme but can demonstrate significant professional experience in a relevant field. Applicants must satisfy one of the following criteria: Possess a teaching qualification or equivalent Possess a first (bachelor’s) degree in the broad area of education Possess a first (bachelor’s) degree in another discipline but with substantial content relating to education Have 2+ years’ relevant work or professional experience or completion of an appropriate programme of study for which prior knowledge and skills have provided an appropriate foundation including English instructors For further details, please contact one of our Admissions Officers.
