Course summary
If you have graduated from a non-computing subject and are looking to enhance your computing skills while gaining a knowledge of the global business environment, then this is the course for you. This course offers a practical mix of technical computing modules, such as software engineering and technology innovation management, along with business modules, such as international business strategy and principles of marketing practice, allowing you to shape your study to fit your chosen path. Our regular seminars and guest speakers allow you to learn from those working within the industry, increasing your understanding of real life situations you could face in your career. You will also have access to a range of conventional and specialised equipment and software, such as Windows Azure, Teradata and Tableau, helping to further develop your skills and understanding. Under the guidance of our academic staff, you will undertake a major software development project. Recent project examples have looked at investigating augmented reality and its potential uses and the design of a computer-intelligible file format for CVs.
