Course summary

Our HND in Quantity Surveying is designed to reflect the increasing need for high-quality professional and technical education in this sector. Students will build on the Level 4 core knowledge, skills and techniques that all Quantity Surveyors need in the construction industry, develop a sound understanding of the principles in their field of study and will have learned to apply those principles more widely. By the end of Level 5, students will have a sound understanding of the principles in their area of specialist study and will know how to apply those principles more widely in the business world. On successful completion of the HND Quantity Surveying, students can develop their careers in the quantity surveying sector through: ● entering employment ● continuing existing employment ● linking with the appropriate professional body Or progressing onto an appropriate top-up degree Typical jobs in the sector, having achieved the HND are: Surveying Technician Quantity Surveying Technician Associate Civil Engineering Surveyor Building Surveying Technician Contractor’s Quantity Surveyor Senior Construction Quantity Surveying Technician
