About this course Explore Wildlife Conservation at a global top 100* university. MRes Wildlife Conservation is globally unique as the only Master of Research run collaboratively with a conservation organisation. This collaborative programme is jointly delivered by the University of Southampton and Marwell Wildlife, an action-orientated conservation organisation dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity and other natural resources. You'll develop the knowledge and skills needed to become a conservation biologist, helping you to protect the future of our wildlife. Your future career You will develop the skills, experiences, and knowledge needed to become a 21st century conservation Biologist, graduating with a supportive network of experts in the field who can help you propel your career. Key features of this course At Southampton you will:
- be based at Marwell zoo two days a week during the taught part of the programme, gaining built-in experience in a conservation organisation before graduating
- embark on a 12 day field-course to Kenya, included as part of the course and course fees
- fulfill an independent research project that delivers real impact on conservation efforts worldwide.

Assessment method
At Southampton, assessments are designed to equip you with the skills you need for success in your career. On this course, you'll be assessed through practical exercises, stakeholder presentations in Kenya, a research project report, and through your assignments.
How to apply
International applicants
