You have a story to tell, and Birmingham has the programme to help you write your future novel, sonnet or screenplay. Develop your practical skills as a filmmaker and writer. You'll explore film, television and writing in their critical and industry contexts under the guidance of our award-winning, industry expert staff. Study a broad range of genres within creative writing, film and TV - from nonfiction writing and prose, to children’s film and TV and documentary filmmaking. Why study this course?

Modules
First-year modules cover a broad base of the subject and are designed to introduce you to ways of studying at university. By the final year the modules you take will become more specialised and reflect the research expertise of the academic staff. More detailed module information can be found on the course page.
