Modules
The first year covers foundational topics such as Managing Marketing Change and Finance for Business Managers. These modules focus on giving you a solid base in general management and innovation, enabling you to manage teams and drive business growth. Managing Marketing Change (20 credits) Global Business Challenges (20 credits) Managing People in Organisations (20 credits) Year two continues with the advanced module in Strategic and Agile Business Management, which expands on leadership development while emphasising networking and collaboration. This year is critical for refining your understanding of global business challenges through research and strategy. Finance For Business Managers (20 credits) Strategic and Agile Business Management (20 credits) Business Research (20 credits) Year 3 In the final year, you will complete your dissertation, focusing on applying your learning to a real-world business problem, integrating skills in entrepreneurial path and lifelong learning. Assessment method
Modules are assessed by coursework. This may take various forms, work-based projects, small research projects, presentations, case study analysis and the dissertation.
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

International applicants
If you are not from the UK and you do not already have residency here, you may need to apply for a visa. For courses of more than six months’ duration you will require a Student visa. International students who require a Student visa should apply for our full-time courses as these qualify for Student visa sponsorship. For full information read our visa application and guides. Please note students receiving US Federal Aid are only able to apply for in-person, on-campus programmes which will have no elements of online study.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be over 21 years old and possess one or more of the following: Recognised honours degree (minimum of a 2:2) or equivalent. Professional qualification. The university’s diplomas/certificates in business management. Applicants who are over 25 years old and do not meet the above criteria may be admitted to the course provided their professional or managerial experience is deemed appropriate. Certain exemptions from taught modules may be considered and will be decided on an individual basis in accordance with UWTSD’s Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning process.
English language requirements
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.0, with not less than 5.5 in each of the sub-tests. We also accept other English language tests.
