Modules
This course will develop your qualifications and skills for success in construction management within the built environment. You will cover aspects of construction management and sustainable development principles related to the following modules:- Construction Technology, Science & Materials, construction Practice & Management. Specialist Mandatory Units include:- Legal and Statutory Responsibilities in Construction, Construction Information (Drawing, Detailing, Specification). Optional Units (Two from the following) are:- Measurement & Estimating, Tender & Procurement , Building Information Modelling, Principles of Refurbishment, Principles of Alternative Energy and/or Site Supervision & Operations.

NVQ 3 Site Supervision or Site Technical Operations with a pass in all modules is acceptable plus GCSE grade C in English Language, Maths and a Science or equivalent Level 2 qualification. Alternatively, mature entrants with previous construction experience may be recognised through Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) We welcome applications from people of any age who might not meet the standard entry criteria, but we would expect evidence of continuing academic and/or professional development and a capacity to pursue the course successfully.
