Our MSc in Data Analytics offers a wide range of modules across each year of the course. These include: • Databases for Large Data-sets • Big Data Analytics • Data Visualisation • Data Mining • Data Analysis and Statistics • Case Studies in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence • Machine Learning.

Assessment method

Students in the Data Analytics MSc programme will be taught through lectures, tutorials, directed reading and practical work. In some modules, learning is primarily student centred and tutor guided to emphasise the practical aspects of these modules. A variety of assessment strategies to test your ability to apply knowledge and skills is used, including: • Reports on laboratory experiments • Laboratory assignments • Projects. You will be given timely written or verbal feedback on all your completed coursework.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for this course are normally: * A BSc, BEng or BA Honours degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent professional qualification in any subject. * Applicants with other appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.


English language requirements

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
