Modules

In your first year you'll look at the key issues affecting agricultural businesses today. You'll study sustainable systems used by commercial UK farms. Visit the University Farm and other local farms to see what you've learnt in practice. You'll learn about the latest developments around the world. Core second year modules cover agribusiness and innovation, economics and agri-marketing. You'll enter our Enterprise Management Challenge. Working in teams you'll manage either a crop or livestock enterprise. You make all the agricultural science and business decisions. You'll observe the impact of your decisions as these are implemented on the farm. In your final year, you'll learn how to apply management principles to modern rural businesses. You'll have farm visits and guest lectures. We invite speakers to give you insights into the management and finance of rural businesses.
