This course allows you to develop a deep understanding and flair for PR. You'll attain industry knowledge and gain contacts as well as reinforce your skills with detailed theoretical grounding - leaving as an employable, experienced professional. How you learn All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. The course is focused on the real-world application of PR and communication theory. You'll work on live briefs with real clients, learning how to work with bloggers and journalists and develop an organisation's reputation. Entry requirements

Normally • an honours degree (2.2 or above) or equivalent in any subject • a good standard of written and spoken English. Overseas applicants from countries whose first language is not English must normally produce evidence of competence in English. An IELTS score of 6.5 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent) is the standard for non-native speakers of English. If your English language skill is currently below an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English level. You may also be considered if you do not hold a degree but can provide evidence of relevant professional experience. If you do not have such academic qualifications we may consider your application individually, based on your personal, professional and work experience, and other formal qualifications. You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam. Additional fee information

Our tuition fee for UK students on full-time undergraduate degree courses in 2025/26 is £9,535 per year. These fees are regulated by the UK government and therefore subject to change in future years. During your placement year you will pay a reduced fee of £1,200. If you are studying an undergraduate course, postgraduate pre-registration course or postgraduate research course over more than one academic year then your tuition fees may increase in subsequent years in line with Government regulations or UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) published fees.
