Course summary

Overview Build on your technical problem-solving skills and organisational abilities with this BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering and Construction Management Top-Up degree. Learn to conduct environmental impact assessments, make informed decisions using analytical tools, and how to maintain and manage supplier relationships. Gain valuable insight into manufacturing processes and lead sustainable development initiatives within engineering organisations. After you finish, you’ll be able to work towards a career in a sector currently in high demand, both in the UK and worldwide. Modules

Each module on this course is worth a certain number of credits. In each year, you need to study modules worth a total of 120 credits. For example, 4 modules worth 20 credits and 1 module worth 40 credits. Modules studied: Core modules: -Sustainable Construction – 20 credits -Geotechnical and Materials Engineering – 20 credits -Transportation Engineering – 20 credits -Water Infrastructure – 20 credits -Safety Management on Site – 20 credits -Project Management for Construction – 20 credits -Transportation Engineering – 20 credits. Optional modules: -AI Concepts and Applications – 20 credits -Critical Research Preparation – 20 credits -Project Planning and Management – 20 credits. Changes to course content. Qualification requirements

Relevant HE study leading to a Level 5 qualification, for example an appropriate HND, foundation degree or Advanced Diploma, or 240 credits from year 1 and year 2 of an undergraduate degree (BEng/BSc), in a relevant subject.
