Film and Media Production (Taught)

Course summary

The MA Film and Media Production offers a unique blend of practical production skills, professional knowledge and academic study as well as opportunities for you to become a researcher in your own right. We have designed the course to be taught through a combination of intensive workshop sessions, online interactive and self-directed teaching, as well as group and individual tutorials. The programme provides intensive instruction in sound recording and design, cinematography and camerawork, lighting, non-linear editing, scriptwriting, producing and directing.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above, or alternative qualifications and substantial relevant experience may be considered.

The fees above are for the 2025/26 academic year but may be subject to change following any announcements by the UK Government (approved by Parliament) regarding maximum Undergraduate tuition fee caps for 2025/26. In addition, the University reserves the right to increase all full-time and part-time Undergraduate tuition fees mid-course, in line with any further inflationary increase in the Government tuition fee cap which is approved by Parliament. The University will publish information about any changes to tuition fees on its website.
