Course summary
Fintech is transforming the financial sector with developments in blockchain, AI and big data, A specialised degree in finance with fintech will allow you to gain knowledge in traditional finance while understanding how tech innovations are shaping it. Studying modules that blend core finance principles with cutting-edge technology, you’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and develop expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and FinTech innovations. This course is part of our Finance MSc programme. All students complete the same core finance modules, then from the end of the first semester you will be able to specialise in one of five areas. Modules
In semester 1 you will explore core modules: Economics of Financial Markets, Finance Theory and Practice, Research Methods in Finance & Economics. Semester 2 introduces specialist modules: Financial Technologies (Fintech) , The Economics of Money, Interest Rates, Banking and Financial Institutions and Financial Risk Management. In the summer you will work on your final project – Dissertation, Work Placement Project or Live Brief

Entry requirements

IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element. International students whose language skills do not match the IELTS scores set out here should consider applying for this course through the Extended Masters programme at the university's Language Institute.
