Stage 1: All candidates who are considered to meet the entry requirements for the BA social work programme will be invited to complete an online written test. Those applicants who pass the written test are invited to attend the University Medway campus for the second stage of the process: an interview day. Stage 2: The interview day is made up of two parts, an interview usually with a lecturer and a social work practitioner; and an observed group discussion usually including a lecturer and a service user or carer. All applicants are considered on an individual basis: relevant work and/or lived experience, the candidate’s personal statement and academic qualifications are all taken into account. Successful candidates will need to complete a satisfactory health and criminal convictions declaration and supply a recent academic and/or relevant work related reference. We do not routinely admit students transferring from other courses, and those with a non-related course would be encouraged to apply at stage 1 of the BA programme.
