Course summary

Work with designers and manufacturers, develop new products and road-test your prototypes, and learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur. If you’re resilient and unafraid to make mistakes and come back stronger, this is the course for you. We’ll equip you with tools that can help you develop, test and realise your ideas. You’ll also learn about applying for grants and reflect on what it really means to be an entrepreneur. Assessment method

Our first-year modules are designed to give you a broad understanding of the key concepts of business and organisational management. In years 2 and 3, you’ll turn your attention to thinking like an entrepreneur. You’ll collaborate with your peers to develop creative and innovative ideas and bring them to life, and gain skills in project management, risk management, scheduling, costing, and strategic and analytical thinking. Finally, you’ll complete a major project, working in a team to address a current, complex business issue.

Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

If you have achieved at least grade E in one A level, or equivalent, you are exempt from the two years post-GCSE study requirement, but you still must meet the GCSE requirements. Applicants who do not meet the two years post GCSE study at level 3 may be considered based on their satisfactory employment history, which must be a minimum of two years full time employment supported by employer evidence and deemed appropriate by the University for meeting the course of study applied for.

English language requirements
